A great showing tonight with a 1er Cru-level performance. The initial pull was especially full of cranberry and red berry flavors. Slightly thin for the first few minutes until it has a chance to stretch its legs and really open up.
After a slow O2 for an hour or so, bright red raspberry, orange peel, red and black cherry, rhubarb, and faint spicebox notes roll on to the palate; a fresh and vibrant showing built with both notable energy and succulent frame.
With air, the red fruit-dominant core becomes darker and sappier, with black cherry, cassis, and some earth flavors unfolding. Depth and complexity progress through a few hours of consumption.
Best showing to-date. 93-94 easy points. Drink now with a decent hit of air or hold for some short term cellaring. I’ll try again in a year, but it’s already very compelling, especially for an appellation-level.

Still in that 91-92 range for me. Factoring in QPR, this is a very pleasant ride of a wine and a decent bang for your buck. Black cherry and purple berry fruit dominate here, with medium grip and speed. Finishes even-keeled and satisfying. Less punchy and grippy than last summer, but a nice execution of flavor overall; especially good with food (pulled pork Cubano sandwiches). Drink now and over the next decade.

Dark black and red cherry dominant, with hints of vanilla, crema, wet limestone, and faint spice bark. A little more on the black fruit spectrum. A notable mid-palate for such a base-model wine, with a finish that tapers off fairly quickly but leaves enough flavor circling around the palate that the experience of its weight-speed combination culminates in an overall worthy delivery and softly layered flavor expansion on the attack and through the back end. Grip is medium but surely present; balance is solid. Splits a nice line between feminine and masculine. Not overly powerful, but well weighted and decently saturated. Still a bit tight, but gives a few inches as air infiltrates the glass. Great with food. For $35, this is a no-brainer buy for me. 91-92+ points, with upside after 2021+.

Young for sue but quite approachable with the ripe dark berry, some wood, vanilla, spice and minerals in the background , lots of fruit in the attack and mid palate, where a slight creamy texture pops integrated medium pots acidity and soft velvety tannins
