  • Starting to show some age in the color. It is packed with pineapple and melon-style fruit but also some acidity and bitterness in the aftertaste.
Overall, it is a lovely wine, but the alcohol is, for me, starting to dominate the wine a bit which I am not that excited about. So, mixed feelings about this wine...

  • This clearly needs time to open up: saline, strong acidity, subdued melon rind and lemon flavors at first. As the wine opened up in my glass, toasty oak and pineapple notes intermingle with the lemon...this is getting really good, still a little hot but coming together slowly. After 30 minutes of air time the aromas are really singing: oak and yellow fruits blending nicely. The palate takes a little longer to smooth out, but it does and it's terrific. This is a very nice wine.

  • This rich and lively Chardonnay is drinking beautifully right now. Regardless of where you fall on the white drinking spectrum (I love fruit! I love creaminess! I love acidity! I love oak!) - this wine has it. Although it's not as intense as an Aubert, this wine has an integration and class that are quite impressive.

Light yellow in color, full in body, nose of honeydew, pear, and fresh almond. Layered tastes of lemon curd, tangerine, vanilla extract, and salt water, with a finish that feels honeyed in the mouth but has a pleasant, refreshing acidity on the back end. 14.2% alcohol. Drink now or in next few years. 94-95.
