The 2015 Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a total knockout from Domaine de la Côte de L’Ange. This instantly opens to seductive aromatics of black raspberries, dark plums and dark cherry reduction which come together with savory herbs, fresh lavender, spices and pepper all soaring from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and deeply concentrated with layers of ripe dark fruits which combine with peppery notes. The depth and complexity is simply remarkable, as is the long mouth coating finish. While this is outstanding now it also shows wonderful promise for a long evolution ahead. (Best 2019-2035)

Rich, fat juicy fruits, ripe, but powerful tannins and a blast of dark, juicy, fresh, ripe red berries and herbs in the finish. Full bodied, lush and intense, the wine has length and complexity that will be improved with some time in the cellar. The wine was made using a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre.
