Nose: hazelnut, white chocolate, hints of jackfruit, white flower, lemon custard, melted butter Notes: this is clearly an infant still with quite a nutty and warm kind of nose but you can see everything is only starting to integrate together. The color is very light so it's a no brainer that plenty of cellaring is needed in order to enjoy this wine with full potential. Everything here is quite promising and this is definitely a bottle that is worth revisiting. Drink: 2035+ Rating: 92

The Leflaive/Lafon/Coche with Uncle Jake (Sushi Katori): Popped 2 hours before and left in bottle to breathe. Wham bam opulence right out of the glass with florals, yellow peaches, apricots and guava with excellent precision and purity. This had heft and power before culminating in a long finish with lifting acidity. Fantastic showing by Lafon with great balance for the ripe vintage but I too, would give this more time in cellar. After an hour in glass / second pours, this got much more reductive and flinty which I absolutely adored.

Nose: flint, hints of guava, white flower, pineapple Notes: tried the first pour after breathing for 1.5 hours, still quite stiff and really closed. There seems to have a bit of everything but neither the nose or body is fully developed. I don't think this wine can open up anytime soon and I would cellar this for at least another 6-7 years until I touch it again. Generally speaking I feel that more time needs to be given to 15s comparing to vintages such as 14/17. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 89

A good balance between acidity and palate. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of pear, green apple, lemon, grapefruits. Long finish. High acidity.

Served too chilled at the Kanta restaurant in Tokyo with Toru Taro and Santony. Good fun
