Glenn Basser's under $200 Rando's (Basser's Abode): Beautiful nose with dark fruits and a touch of menthol. Showing some chalky tannins on the palate with a bit of heat poking through, but overall very nice wine.

Deep purplish ruby red. Lush and layered palate with dark blackberries, purple floral notes, spices and a hint of minerality. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Well rounded palate with spices, anise, graphite, black currants, minerality and a touch of blueberries. Long finish. Drink till 2035.

Enjoyed at Ascend. Drink. this. with. meat. Agree with mats13 - best to hold off and drink in a few years. But...WOW. 45 min decant and is then *killer* even now. Nose: DARK berries, spices, beef jerky. Huge body, VERY bold, full mouthfeel, dark fruit, charred ribeye, sweet salami, full-bodied cigars, roasted red peppers, graphite / earth.

A very talented youngster, nice classic Cab notes - cassis, dark fruit. Will be fun to track this one well into the future. Like so many modern Cali Cabs this can be drunk now, but I would hold off if you can.
