Solid delivery again … 3 hr decant. Soft and smooth on the approach Liked by even hesitant syrah drinkers. Good fruit, nice balance between fruit and acidity Light tannins make for a nice medium finish. Solid performance is easy summary. So good now … don’t feel it is fading, but also at full stride now … if you’re sitting on a few bottles , don’t hesitate to open one tomorrow 😀.
Agree it is a bit lighter and more approachable than Roger’s Creek bottling… so choose each when/as appropriate.

A great bottle of wine.......like another consumed last fall. However, I made a mistake. The last bottle was opened for at least a hour and a half before dinner. This bottle was taken to a restaurant and opened for a max of 45 minutes before consumption started. It was so-so at first, but evolved to a great experience as time went by. Will not do the restaurant thing with this wine next time......open for a good amount of time at home.

First experience with the Cole Creek. This is quite good. A bit lighter in weight than the Rodgers Creek and even the Sonoma Coast bottlings. Still full-bodied but also a bit crunchy and savory. Ramey really strikes a great balance on his Syrahs.

Rich mouth feel. Rich purple fruit nose. Plum and blueberry mid- palate …and a little tart cherry on the finish. Nice acidity and a bit of fine grain tannins help make an enjoyable long finish
