This is a charming proper old fashioned Pinot Gris where one almost expects to see Tokay d’Alsace on the label . A nose of mixed spice and lemon . white gold in colour - sumptuous spice, fruit and honey in the palate .Very much off dry - would go gloriously I am sure with pork, duck or goose but going down a treat with some Chinese food.

I served this in my wine course. Nose is a bit closed, with apricot and spice. Full bodied. Apricots continue in the almost fully dry finish. Nice, but lacking complexity.
Note: Bottle indicates "Reserve Personelle". But this is not the grain nobles version either.

Pale yellow color - deep, appealing. The nose was mostly muted - with alcohol notes but not much else. However, the palate showed pleasing acidity and various layers of Mayer lemons, passion fruits, white peach, oak, spice - quite precise and with a medium long finish that let out some cranberry and spice notes with some vanilla. Very pleasant wine indeed and ready to drink I would say - although a few more years in the cellar won’t harm it.

White peach, golden peach, white flowers, a little honeycomb. There’s a hint of sugar that makes this delicious with Thanksgiving gravy. The mouthfeel is rich and oily. Stellar value for $30.
