  • Screw Cap. Tasted well chilled. Bought Tesco's UK £8.00

Front label promises 'Crisp and Dry' white wine. It's way more than that: thrilling acidity, long flavours, very good cellar potential, I'd say, it feels like it'll devel' into a very good 'All-nighter', at the moment it's screaming for Food. (Thai chicken curry with fruit and chickpeas, for me.)

    C....light straw

N.....very little of anything, which was a bit disappointing.

T.....Wow, now we're cooking: it's much drier than previous vintages I'd had of this Howard Park-produced WA Riesling, very fresh acid, lots of power here to suggest cellar time will be profitable, no mineral or real complexity but just a very good lively Riesling with wonderful fruit, finishes short of Dry. Tart lemons. Opened too young. Maybe lacks the richness/roundness of previous yrs, but that's my only gripe. Still very good Riesling.

VFM....pretty good. Defo buy again, after the disappointing South Island/Waipara (NZ) Riesling 2014 under this 'Finest' range, the label redeems itself.
