  • Dinner at Iggys. Drank alongside the Chevillon Vaucrains 1986. This was made by Maurice. Cloudy, and almost pink in appearance. There was a touch of oxidation on the nose, but more port like rather than the sherry, soy notes. Palate was definitely showing well - with resolved sweet tannins (yes there were some remaining), cherries, raisins, rose syrup. Some earth, sandalwood and tea leaf with extended time. I'm surprised that this could hold well in the glass, but a pity the nose was not too agreeable.
