This Pinot Grigio-based blend avoids the common problems of this varietal (i.e., too bland, watery, sweet, and/or over-priced). Instead, this wine is bursting with flavor, energy, and complexity, all for a cool $30. I've said it before but I'll say it again: Massican makes delicious and unique wines, regardless of the price (but the price makes them even more impressive).
Light yellow in color and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of green apple, pear, and stone fruit. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon rind, gooseberry, and wet rocks, with a round and soft finish that is incredible for such a refreshing (read: bright acidity) wine. Better on second day, when it developed an orange marmalade note that gave the wine a beguiling creamy texture. Blend of 79% Pinot Grigio and 21% Greco. 12.5% alcohol. Drink in next few years.

Nice light fruit on the nose — peach and pear — with some floral notes. Medium mouth feel, more substantial than a typical Pinot Grigio. Great balance of ripe peach, pineapple, and slight tartness. Hint of vanilla at the tail end.

Fantastic as always! Such a great domestic Pinot Gris. I never buy enough as these and Annia are always impressive.

So damn good. Slightly cloudy in appearance. Citrus and peach notes with mouthwatering acidity. Dan rarely disappoints.
