No poker night (Jason and Mariellen's house): As good as this was, it wasn't as expressive as I would have hoped. Fresh dough, overall light and fresh. It gained some depth with about 1.5 hours of air.

Almond and yeast notes, with hints of ginger on the finish. This was bright and fresh compared to a 2006 Pol Roger consumed immediately prior, which showed deeper flavors and more richness. Different styles, both very good. My immediate reaction was that the B-S could use a little more time to develop some more depth.

Sorry, Not Sorry! No Poker on Poker Night! (Jason's House): This Champagne was very tasty and more intense than the 2006 Pol Rogers, but with a similar profile, i.e., Brioche/yeast, tart green apple and citrus with lively acid and lots of sea shell/saline minerality. A nice Champagne to sip on, and great addition to the tasting. Nice mousse too, and the lift and fruit had you coming back for another sip! A solid 94. No hurry on drinking these!

Wine weekend in the Twin Cities; 11/10/2022-11/12/2022 (Where the frosty air is refreshing.. kind of): N: The volume seems a bit turned down but there are subtle minerals, clean white crisp fruits and clean river water.
P: Heavier yellow fruits, with some moderate yeastiness, prickly, bright and crisp minerals with some savoriness.
