This wine is deep, dark, and intense, but not out of balance. Inky black/purple fruit with earthy and savory complexity. Long.
Disclaimer: I don't drink a ton of Syrah, and would like to drink more to better acquaint myself with the grape. From my perspective, this wine doesn't quite match the complexity of a great Cabernet, or the elegance of a Pinot, but it is as concentrated as all but the biggest Cabs.
Drinking nicely right now. (No sign of decline, unlike another reviewer's note.)

My goodness, what an unexpected surprise. This is a beast. Second I pulled the cork, dark stain on cork with minimal seepage. Dark, dark ruby garnet color. No flaws. No sediment. Minor rim variation on the glass. Color was a crowd pleaser. Nose, amazing and complex. Old world with dark fruits and florals. Peppery and spicy. Low tannin and acid. Moderate alcohol. Long finish. Paired perfectly with grilled barbecue ribs. So glad to have one more bottle in the cellar. I would guess it's approaching peak. Very drinkable, but, got to have a lot of life left in this one. Kudos to Fisher. Favorite bottle of the day for the crowd.
