Impromptu Barbaresco and Fresh Venison Dinner (New Jersey, USA): Pnp as a starter for our impromptu Barbaresco and Venison dinner. This was lovely from the first sniff. Wonderful medium lemon yellow color, in contrast to a recent note from another CT’er, this showed no signs of age or oxidation. It screamed honeysuckle and green melon on the nose. Palate had more honeysuckle and melon along with tropical fruit (pineapple), minerals amd a little almond on the finish. The mouth feel was rich and oily, yet bright with acidity akin to a good Riesling. This was delicious and one of the best bottles of Arneis I have had. Great QPR. Plenty of life left if kept in a cool cellar.

At the end of its life in my opinion. Lacks freshness.

No longer good. Had been stored properly, but has turned to a deep golden yellow and simply tastes oxidized.

Still great; like a well aged Burgundian chard.

My final bottle. A nice change of pace from a Chardonnay. It went well with tomato braised mussels at a local Italian restaurant.
