This seems to have dropped in quality a lot. I remember having a few bottles of the '97 upon release, way back, and they were dreamy and captivating. This is quite flat and a bit acidic by comparison. Maybe another decade will help.

Notes from PNP - deep, dark red color. On nose, tart cherry, strawberry, orange rind and slate. Palate similar, with full body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long, mouth-watering finish. Preferred a '15 Chinon (Olga Raffault) to this. 91-92+ range. Not a re-buy and one of my least favorite '15 Brunellos to date - technically a well made wine though.

Tart cherry, cedar, dried herbs, red licorice. Like '15s from other regions I've tasted recently it's in a slightly awkward young-adult phase but this tastes very classy and should age gracefully.

Powerful and bold, very high acidity and surprisingly in an unplanned way, both of us brought a 15/16 BdM to our mid week happy hour session in BT Hartamas 🐖
This worked well in pairing with the Bacon fried rice and Uncle Ho's Pancetta, but was a bit over whelming for me - The acid was pronounced!
Plenty of Cherry and Plum forward notes, and perhaps the balance will improve in at least 2 years. Medium finish was pleasant.
Thanks @Mika Tyson Teau for sharing this from your deeeeep cellar.

Similar to previous notes. A bit striking, with nice acidity, medium-bodied. I think I used to prefer older vintages of this.
