The nose is straight forward: light vanilla oak and green melon, maybe even canteloup, but still crisp, lively, and just a touch of caramel from age. By the way, for 2004, this wine is singing very nicely--quite a surprise.

A very consistent vintner. Typical California chardonnay but not overly oaked.

Minimally oaked. Good fruit and lush palate. Maybe not enough acid, but like it a lot as a good QPR.
