1st of 5 bottles bought at auction. PnP with impressive bright red fruit nose. Day 1 showed progression from red to dark fruit over the first hour. Light oak, baking spices, plum, dark berries, slight tobacco. Tannins are fine but moderate. Day 2 was really smooth and more Bdx in character. Really enjoyable even without food. Drinking great now and should be good for another 5 years.
Slow ox for 30 minutes. Nose: Beautiful aromas of Stargazer lily, ink, fresh mint and hints of herbs. Fabulous nose! Palate: Soft styled with evolved tannins, appropriate acid levels and just enough richness. A "velvet glove" sans the iron fist. Assorted fruits of cherries and blueberries with some gentle/subtle toast way in the background to give contrast. Finish is somewhat lengthy but very elegant. This is probably one of the best bottles of the 6 pack I bought years ago. Glad to have 2 more left and the slow ox is best IMO. No need for a decanter on this nearly 9 year old beauty. Wonderful and now 93 points. Went great with charcoal grilled Prime boneless Ribeye.
Better on Day 2 or 3!; 6/2/2022-7/5/2022 (3 Day Wine Review World Headquarters, Minneapolis, MN): Day 1: Funk, sour cherry, minerals, spice, dust and damp earth. Another stellar bottle. Two left. 93 points Day 2: Not as good and a bit sweet. Dark fruits, like the funk on day 2, floral and mild spices. Just not as solid as day 1. 89 points Recommendation: Drink now. I am not impressed with the decline of this wine over day 2.

Day 1: Classic Napa Valley Cabernet. Dark fruits, spice, mild oak, floral and menthol. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. Solid 93 points Day 2: Even Better. Cassis, spice, menthol, gravel, funk, earth and graphite. Medium plus and concentrated finish. This wine is off the charts on value. $60 a bottle! 94 points Day 3: Not bad but not near the experience of day 2. Recommendation: One of the better Napa Values in many years and still available for $66 so buy it. Should drink well from now until 2030.

2 1/2 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Complex aromas of briar, cedar, sweet dark fruits, dust and mint, earth & mineral traces. Fabulous! Palate: Soft styled w/ spice, black fruits, evolved tannins and a medium length finish. Now 92+ points. Much better than last bottle and went great w/ prime choice boneless ribeye on the charcoal Weber grill.
