  Based on ACHAVE's2022 note I opened my one bottle of the same. He got this wine as well as he did the 2009 Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie. It has "Lush style; plenty of vanilla and soft flavors." The quality is indeed good but in the intended style which is also not my preference. I have been paying attention to the aromas coming from an empty wine glass and on this one it is revealing there was no aroma. It is all fruit and oak flavor without bouquet. Well made in its intended style.

Not really my style at this point… I prefer more delineation and precision. Last bottle. Wouldn’t have liked to cellared it further. Quality is 90, but enjoyment for me more in line with ~88-89.

  A wonderful tightly bound package, full of structure and texture. The subtle use of new oak blends well into a chalky soil tone. Rich notes of candied pear, apples and clove abound. Probably could have used slightly longer in the cellar but was delightful none the less.
