PnP that needed about an hour of air to get up to full speed. Wow, so young, so fresh, such power. med+ body, full-flavored, very fine tannins, red/dark red core of fruit, good+ sense of place. This will live for many more years. The fruity exuberance of its youth has turned to the light, it's far more elegant than on release. highly recommended

This has become more integrated through time but I plan to wait a few years to try again. The good news is that it has a solid acidity that will carry it through time. I get raspberry and tart cherry on the nose. The palate still seems rather simple to me. I have it a second day to see how it would evolve and it improved but the jury is out.

Decanted and enjoyed with chicken enchiladas. Full body, clear, deep ruby color. Initially a bit tight and disjointed with notable oak and tannin. Developing. As this begins to open there are aromas and flavors of mulchy black dirt, ripe blackberry, tart black cherry, chewy tobacco, and sweet black licorice. Powerful finish. Can drink now, but tannin, acid and oak require more time, or hearty food with decanting near term. Drink through 2034.
