Light transparent burgundy color. Nose dark fruited, hint of baking spice. Palate black cherries, a richness of texture balanced by a bracing orange acidity, hint of pith on finish.
shows the ripeness of the vintage but some nice balance still. would hold for a couple more years to let it unfurl

Transparent light ruby. Nose earthy, some red fruits with time. Palate light red cherries with an earthy forest floor note, pine/grassy tinge. Ripe fruit held in check by classic structure, a great QPR though perhaps not terribly distinctive. 89-90 pts.

What a lovely 15 village, with plenty of medium cherry fruit, good depth of flavor, some dried cherry tartness, good acidity and some nice rocky minerality, nice balance and even some good overall complexity. Fantastic value.
