  • I pretty much agree with Sebastian80. A very good, and more than priceworthy Rioja with tones of ripe cherry, leather and vanilla. The oak is very present, but like Sebastian80 I think it is very well integrated and adding complexity to the wine. Good balance and decent length. Probably peaking now! (From a 375 cl bottle)

  • Blind-tasted. Recognised it but didn’t get it right, but in hindsight this is a typical Rioja albeit with very subtle vanilla aromas.
On the nose, more oak than fruit. Everything well integrated. Tobacco leaves, cedar, licorice, vanilla, dark berries and plum. Relatively complex. Smooth but tannins, concentration and acidity to last 4-5 more years. Balanced medium long finish.
