75% Grenache and 25% Carignan. Med (-) ruby/garnet. Med+ ripe red cherry, candied strawberry, watermelon, dried herbs, earth. Whole cluster fermentation, stainless steel. Developing. Dry but fruit forward, w/ med acid, med to med+ tannins & med+ alcohol (13.5%). Med-bodied, w/ med to med+ flavor intensity and length, w/ a savory, stony/earthy finish. Drinking well @ 6 years, with several years left to go. Simpler and lighter than most Priorats, but a solid, food-friendly value if you can get it for under $30.

Not a fan of this one. I was excited to try a slightly less full bodied priorat, but was disappointed with the result. Unusally pale coloured. Very highly strung, piercingly acidic strabwerry and raspberry but lacking any real depth. No oak as far as I can tell. Reminds me of (bad) beaujolais somehow. The first day was not an enjoyable drink at all to be honest. On the second day, a bit more depth developed, and initial harshness had resolved. The third day, the wine was pretty much dead. Maybe a bad bottle?

Nose is a bit shy and simple for the first hour. After that, it blossomed with bright sour cherries and redcurrant, wet earth, tobacco and old leather on the nose. Good depth and concentration on the medium-bodied palate. Not as complicated in the palate than what the nose suggested. The bold structure is rounded at the edges. Perhaps a touch lack of freshness. Some heat and tannins on the finish which is somewhat watery towards the end. Can keep this for a few more years to develop its fitness.

Rustic cow pasture on nose, really like it. The palate has some of that but is also much more in normal Priorat territory with sunny ripe red fruit, but not too much heat (only 13.5%). Oddly I think I get more of the funk on the palate after an hour or so open—perfectly fine with me as I really like that character. Worth the price though not exceptional qpr, but a notable bottle if you like Priorat but like me you enjoy some farmyard character and prefer lower alcohol. 6.9/10

Meh. Tasted like a well-made $10 bottle of wine.
