Not convinced by this, had several Langmeil wines when in Aus years ago and was impressed, this is a bit tart beginning to brown on the rim and generally gives the impression it is already passed it, shame I like the wines of this grape from this region, but this............

Light/bright red with tawny brown coming through under the lights. Vanilla and oak is the first nose, then the fruits come at the back. In the mouth, it’s the other way, fruit hit is spot on, smooth and balanced tannins with a white pepper end that lasts. We drank after decanting to open for 3 hours, the time is well worth waiting for the finished glass.

Reasonable Grenache from Langmeil.. Light in colour. Raspberry cherry fruit rollmop. Some oak and smokey tobacco. A little tart. Langmeil are one of the Barossa's best but wouldn't bother with another one of these.

Interesting nose, with perfumed notes of raspberry and juniper, plus oaky hints of smoke and vanilla. Light-bodied but tightly-structured palate, with restrained flavours of strawberry, blackberry, Vietnamese mint, and charred vegetables. Fascinating, and destined to improve. Wine of the night.
