Medium ruby colour. Denser style of Pinot Noir due to warm vintage 2015. Black berries, strawberries, medium- tannins and light acidity. Light touch of smoky oak barrique. Nice, smooth, balanced burgundy wine. A confirmation of feminine style of Chambolle-Musigny.

Upon opening, still quite young and closed with a good punch of acidity. With time black cherry, soft spice and vanilla begin to show. Medium body, pleasant. Surprisingly good length for this level of wine. I think it will be better with more cellaring -- at least another year before I revisit.

Nice bright acidity. Not complex but a good, light weekday wine to go with pizza. Enjoyed it on the first night. On the second it was more integrated - still not complex, but it had a really nice persistence that made it nice to drink on its own. It's light like Chambollee, not a bruiser.

Popped and Poured. Nose of violets framed by a touch of oak. On the palate, striking acidity to accompany violets, black raspberries and minerals. Underneath it all was a base of red fruit. The acidity gave a backdrop of cranberries but was not overbearing. Overall, the effect of the wine was a touch rustic i.e just a bit more tannic. Medium finish. On the whole a very good villages wine but personally prefer Gevrey. Vines ~45 years.

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Pretty red fruit is nicely balanced and accessible with the bright and minerally textures that are exactly what I what from Chambolle. Fun now.
