  • An excellent bottle without being great, but perhaps my expectations were too high.
Fill level at about 5 cm, cork came out soaked but in one piece. Heavy sediment in the bottle, surely correlated with the loss of color.
settled nicely overnight, it was decanted two hours prior to dinner.
Very nice aromatics; at this point mostly in the straw, baking spice department. No fruit left in any form.
The texture was beautiful with no remaining tannin. Fairly good length.
Any Pinot Noir wine that holds up this well deserves some credit and it was thoroughly enjoyed at the table with prime rib.
