Dark red in color. The fruit is a mix of red and black, in a manner too extracted for what I want in a Burgundy red. The fruit dominated in flavor and the wine was a bit simple for a Grand Cru. Could have mistaken it for a PN grown in the lower elevation parts of the Willamette or Sonoma Coast.

Better bottle than last time…or my palate is inconsistent :). Decanted for 2 hours at cellar temp. Served with grilled salmon, corn on the cob. Multi layered with Asian spice, earth and red fruits on nose and palate . Long finish!

Opened but not decanted at room temperature , for 2 hours prior to dinner . This is a straight -forward wine. Not the level of complexity that I expect from grand cru. With that put down, I can easily say this wine gives great pleasure and is great with food. Minerality is the nose characteristic that jumps out at me. Also, Asian spice, cherries , anise. Very well-balanced on the palate . Acidity is a good match for food (grilled salmon in this case). Long finish.
