Kumeu Area winery visits (Kumeu, Auckland, NZ): All stainless steel. Pale ruby color. Fresh elevated intensity nose with ripe red cherry, slight damp earth, mushroom, and slight reduction (rubber and smoke). Has some nice pinot sweaty-cherry, sweaty-plum fruit character. Dry, medium body, feels 14% alcohol, elevated acid, low tannins. Fresh and simple. It has a cruchy unfinished-nature to the midpalate flavors. A lack of integration - no time in even neutral barrels.

Fresh strawberry, relatively simple but clean and well made, delicious lightly chilled on a warm summer's day.

Smooth, aromatic a bit stemmy + red fruited elegant wine with nice depth, freshness and good length. 13%. Drink over the next couple of years.

Wine Society - Explore Pinot Noir; 4/24/2019-4/25/2019 (Trades Hall Glasgow): Light colour, fresh, redcurrants. Slightly harsh on palate initially, light and a bit one dimensional. Decent enough PN for this price, but not as good as their Chardonnay

Explore Pinot Noir - Presented by Toby Morrhall - The Wine Society - Glasgow (Glasgow): Easy drinking. Expressive, cool bright strawberries. Jammy but not in an over-ripe or over-heated way. A bit of cold stone and something herby about this wine. Best finish in the under £15 category.
