Drank with ham dinner. Ruby red in color. Light on the palate, with cherries and red berries. Medium on the mid palate. Medium finish. Nice wine that is not heavy as are some Calif. Pinots.

Nose of raspberries, roses and spice Palate was filled with wild strawberries and cherries with a nice bead of minerality down the middle. Medium plus acid with a medium finish.

Just a little to tart for me. I try to reason why this wine is so different from Peay just up the hill. Maybe I need to give the Hirsch vineyards a little more aging...so on me.

Light ruby in color. Smells like cherry cola with a hint of earth and a little spice, maybe some charred wood and smoke, medium plus intensity. The wine is still young. On the palate: medium plus acidity, medium - tannin, medium minus alcohol and a medium body. The intensity on the palate is medium + reflecting the dry year and low yields with a lovely long finish for a coastal pinot. Similar flavours as before with the smokiness taking on a little clove or medicinal quality. Plenty of layers and fruit concentration for aging. Going to wait 5 years to open my next one.
