Anderson Valley in a glass. California fruit dominates, but on the dark side, with some earth character. Light-medium body and palate, enough acid. Finish is pretty long, but a little disconnected from the robust nose. A pleasure of a wine.

Pinot-Con (The WineSellar & Brasserie, San Diego, CA): “Clones 777, 667, 115, 37, 538, & Pommard harvested 9/29/14 from a vyd, in the ‘deep end’ of Anderson Valley near Philo, with an extremely cool climate, deeply influenced by the Pacific Ocean 10 mi away. The site is on a gently sloping, E/W ridge 300 ft above the road. Cooperage: Hungarian & FR oak (30% new); 13.0% ABV, 6.9 g/L T.A., & 3.5 pH; 868 bottles produced.”
N: Closed; Some straws?
P: LM body; ALMOST swtish frt met by a bit of astringent PUCKER which extends into the fairly LONG, tangy/swt finish. While I can see this benefitting by an addt'l 6 mos or so of cellaring, it's LOVELY now & should drink well into '20, poss longer. 92 pts ea John Gilman (9-10/’16) & WE (Gordon, 10/1/18) @ $39. [As of mid Jan '20, I saw no U.S. sources on wine-searcher].
