70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec, from a small bottle (0.375 l). PnP. Nicely evolved within the last 2 years, black berries and leather, fresh and elegant, medium+ bodied and long finish. In a good spot now, drink within the next 4 years. Basic classic Bordeaux at its best.

Nose: Mouth: dry, high acid, high grove tannins, spinkel, medium+ body and 13% alcohol, L/M fruit concentration and length, lacks fruit Conclusion: Lacks fruit so it becomes unbalanced with a dominant acid and tannins. most likely over the top. It was good 2 years ago.

Tremendous QPR. This is more of a food wine, but did have enjoyable plum and dark berry with notes of garrigue over a spine of fine tannins (which are already reasonable integrated) and graphite. We paired with ribeye (had coffee and spice rub) with cauliflower mash seasoned with rosemary. The wine really elevated both dishes (and vice-versa). I began noticing a cocoa backnote in the wine, so I tried a piece of chocolate with it as well and sure enough, it paired nicely with the chocolate too.

From a small bottle (0.375 l). Nice nose with black berries and leather, on the palate good concentration, fresh, present tannin and medium to long finish, slightly drying. Early drinking window, will improve with further cellaring (best between 2020 and 2024), superb price to quality relation, 88 to 90+.
