After two bad bottles this third and final one was lovely. Fresh sea breeze, hints of straw, grapefruit and lemon confit; almost presents like a high end sauv blanc. The palate shows preserved lemon, lemon oil, mineral, honeydew melon. Lots of depth to this. A really nice wine.

Medium healthy gold for 17yrs out, yea! This shows some Dauvissat like focus, yet round, mineral drive. Nice btl age depth w/ layers of citrus, stone, spice & salinity. Resolved but still energetic, elegance. An appealing sense of class & completeness. Exceedingly fresh & vibrant & thankfully, an absence of young Chablis's acidic bite. Amazing value for $40. Drinks like $100 plus in todays market.

Double decanted and served ~55F. Amazing acidity that was the dominant flavor profile. Nice tart apple crispness and medium finish. Really needs food, but very enjoyable for the excellent condition it is in for a 17 year old Chablis.

A complex and serious wine, great for pairing. It was a home run with oyster with white miso sabayon and smoked roe. Just don't expect a grand cru finish here, this is clearly in the 1er territory in terms of length. But for this level, it's absolutely a re-buy.
