  Wine was immediately open upon pulling the cork. Color is ruby to clear rim. Nose of sous bois and cherry. Palate is tartish cherry, some spice- bright with some ripe tannins apparent. Not particularly memorable. Paired with pan roasted duck with stewed cabbage and mashed potato with an integral sauce accented with some plum jam.
