  • Yum, really actually enjoyed this. Decanted 2 bottles for dinner (lamb and kidney hot pot) with friends - worked a treat. Just the right amount of acidity & balance to handle the meaty dish and cheese platter afterwards.
Pretty decent vfm I think when bought on offer.

  • Quite a subtle personality for a Barossa Shiraz. It has a quiet confident trait of spicy blue and black fruits with undertones of vanilla beans and eucalyptus in the nose. Some dark chocolate emerged after sometime in the glass. Not big, bold and super ripe aromatics. More like Shiraz from cooler climate. The palate is also much drier and less fruity compared to many Barrosa Shiraz. There are lean blue fruits, some minerals and spicy notes in the medium bodied mid-palate. It is fairly balanced nonetheless. Tight structure but rounded edges with firm tannins to stretch the finish. A bit more freshness and fruit would make this wine more interesting.
