Wool, linnen, beeswax, honey, bruised apple and pear, apricot, and a wonderful taste of pear & apricot kernel (as in amarettini…). Wonderful, crisp and creamy, some fruit, some herbs, some nice bitter notes. Really singing tonight.

Light gold. The nose immediately jumps out with prominent bruised apple, but after just a bit of air settles down and lets some more complexity emerge, with very typical middle-age Chenin wool, wax, pollen. The palate is medium-light weight but with a hint of unctuousness to the fruit texture. Very fresh without the acidity sticking out. This is drinking well, but it didn't have quite the verve of the 2015 Moulins to me.

Pretty much ideal for my palate. On the nose, sweet apple, a soft touch of wool, meyer lemon, chamomile. On the palate, famtastic acidity, chamomile, lemon, apple, lemon peel, a line of bitter herbs on the clean and very refreshing finish.

Lovely concentration, complexity, and balance. Still very young. Slight hint of dry botrytis on the nose; also beeswax. At the very earliest end of drinking window with 10-15 years of improvement ahead.
