This is a solid 90-pointer with a 93-point nose. Decanted 3+ hours. Nose showing candied cherry, talcum powder, cinnamon, sandalwood all well-integrated. In the mouth it's a bit of a tannic monster still, crying out for a fatty ribeye. The fruit is keeping pace with the tannin for the most part, but I don't think holding any longer in the cellar will lead to significant improvement.

Decanted one hour. Open nose of blackberry jam, cherry cough drops and pine planks. Primary in the mouth with a long, tannic finish. Concentrated sweet red fruit. Not an oak bomb but definitely new world. May wait another year or so for more of the tannins to resolve. More than held its own with lamb meatballs with yogurt sauce spiked with pomegranate seeds.

A really nice wine - used the Venturi Aerator for the first time and it really helps. Had it wih rack of lamb and the combination was just about perfect. Would rate it somewhere between 91 and 92 out of 100. Would buy again if I could find it locally.

Definitely needs time before drinking. Decant several hours prior.
