Continues to be a lovely expression of Nebbiolo that is distinct from its southern neighbors. Excellent depth of fruit. Great balance. Devopling nuance. Truly great food wine, complements rather than dominates.

Dinner from Isfahan (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Heightened tart red fruit aromatics on the nose, a similar fruit profile on the palate, and a very nebbiolo-like tannic structure had me going to Alto Piedmont. I didn't think this was either Barbaresco or Barolo because the palate felt lighter and didn't have a riper fruit profile. Plenty of acidity and freshness, I had thought this was a current release wine. These are wines that will clearly live a long time.

Cries for food. Likes fat to soften and draw out vanilla inflected cherry. Medium body/ weight. Burgundy in color and mouthfeel. Mineral, tar, dried cherry. Alcohol nose with mentholated fruit still a bit primary. Needs time to unfold, or decant. Has years left to improve. Like to try in two years and five. Needs time to be on point.

This is a beautiful bottle of wine. Lovely nose, lovely palate, good depth of fruit. A significant step up from the white label of this vintage, which I liked and had the day before. A great expression of Nebbiolo that differs from its southern neighbors in a pleasant way. And accessible, my novice, early twenties, daughters tasting note was 'this is really good'.

No detailed notes, but lovely with a light aspect and deep fruit.
