  • Update on the final bottle here. Improved yet again and reminiscent of some very solid SLB village and 1ers that we had recently in France on vacation. Tons of dark red earthy fruit, great balance. This has filled out a lot over time.

  • Initially this was oddly full of really sweet cherry liqueur aroma reminiscent of Russian River stuff I don’t like. Half hour later, it is more in line with expectations. Dominant nose of damp earth/forest floor along with bright red fruit. Moderate length and depth to the raspberry and tart cherry flavors. Over performed for its entry level status.

    Integrated and ready to drink.

Updating in May 2020 with basically the same note but no weirdness upon first opening. Have also been drinking a lot of pinots lately so took the score down a tiny bit in comparison.

  • Very light colored pinot noir. Cherry and herbal flavors. Really very pleasant.

  • This pours very light, totally transparent, and has just a light cloudyness. The nose is not terribly powerful in my view has an enjoyable profile. Raspberries, cranberry, underbrush, and damp soil round out the aromatics. The palate has low tannin and incredibly high acid. I don't mind it but I can see how others might find the acid off putting. The cloudyness, light aromatics, and high acid evoke the profile of a Jura Rouge. I find the profile to be very fresh and food friendly. An enjoyable entry level wine that I find fair for the $20 - $25 USD being asked for it.

  • Simple - one say. That’s true. Cloudy and a bit animal tones - I think not bad , we drank it with pleasure.
