  AN makes really deep wines and while sometimes they can be a little over the top, this granache is really excellent; a wonderful exhibition of the complexity that you can get out of the grape. Too often granache is used for blending and the fruitiness can be a bit much, but this wine has a more jammy quality to it with great depth and well structured tannins. Looking forward to drinking my 2017 bottle in a few years.

  Taste is slightly metallic and sandy clay. dark berry bittersweet and a little tannic. Smell is mild and pleasing fermented prunes.

  Our Grenache block is grown high on top of Destiny Ridge where a constant breeze from the Columbia River helps mitigate the intense heat of the Horse Heaven Hills and allows a perfect condition for ripening this wonderful Rhone varietal. The 2015 Grenache is expressive and bright with aromas of strawberry jam, orange blossom, and red rhubarb. Concentrated flavors of blackberries, blueberries and cinnamon dancing with notes of allspice and hints of vanilla. It is balanced with soft to medium tannins, a rich mouthfeel, and excellent depth of flavor that carries through to the finish. The wine was aged for 18 months and blended with a small percentage of Syrah adding a little depth, color and tannins to the finish. This wonderful Rhone varietal mixed with the excellent Horse Heaven Hills growing conditions combine to produce a wonderful medium bodied wine that excites your palate and lingers in your memory.

  Wonderful wine ready to drink now or could be laid down a bit. Great flavors of blackberry jam, cedar allspice and vanilla.
