  This medium garnet wine was tasted in double-blind fashion. It has a moderately intense bouquet of tobacco, leather, earth and plum. Medium-bodied and with medium acidity, it delivers flavors which mirror the nose, with the plum component being very light. The alcohol (listed as 13.3%) shows no heat and the tannins have fully melted. Albeit subtle, the fruit does persist throughout the middle palate and the wine closes with medium length. While still quite enjoyable, there is no doubt that this wine is past its prime. Drink now-2016.
