Had a pleasant sweet tart tension on open, with tart cherry. Something angular about it. With more air, the wine became more angular and the fruit roasted. I didn't pick up TCA on the nose (I am TCA sensitive), but I don't think this was a correct bottle.

Deep red colour, slightly bricky. Very pleasant perfume of rose leaves, quite light. On the palate, the wine needs quite a bit of time to open up; on day 2 it really begins to show its quality. Not what I would consider a "typical" Barolo; this is rather pinot-like, light and elegant. Good balance and length. Still seems very young; will try it again in a couple of years.

2 hour decant. Medium red. Nose is floral and red fruit such as cherries. Well balanced, and drinking well now but not yet at peak. Lovely acidity and ultra fine tannins. A really great wine.

Barolo theme: Second time trying this producer after being very impressed by its entry-level Barolo. Made in a new-school Burgundian style with lighter extraction that obtained silky rather than coarse tannins, with very pretty red fruits on the nose and the palate. Liked the floral nose of this a lot, some sweet, ripe cherries on the palate and a driven finish. Turned darker and more brooding after a few hours. Very approachable now and I prefer to drink wines made in this style in their youth for their deliciousness.

Medium color intensity. Garnet red.
Nose of red berries, sour red cherries, raspberry, also mushroom and dried flowers.
On the palate it has smooth silky tannins, cool fruity expressions and a long aftertaste. A burgundian Barolo from the top of La Morra.
Very light and breezy Barolo made in the classic style. Drinking well now but would probably keep well for another 5 years or so.
