Beautiful Straw colored hair on this beauty. These wines are primarily about behavior to me. 15 is a little softer in the middle but with an understated nose, relaxed mouth, and slight pucker of acidity in the back with beautiful length for such a disregarded varietal. De Moor with hold a very special place in my heart. Even long after I stop buying them because of the escalating prices. Love the player, hate the game.

Aligoté at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Predominantly waxy, with alcohol that juts out, there's a distinct herbal (my last note said phenolic) element to this wine. Despite all the thickness and texture on the palate, the flavour here is a little lacking; this comes across slightly watery.

de Moor night at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Clearly a wine with intense concentration and power, but at the same time, there's a bit of a phenolic character that is a bit distracting. There's a slight bit of fruit on the palate, but this is mostly a structural wine, powered by its acidity. The finish is prominently bitter, which really detracts from an otherwise excellent rendition of aligote.

Like this rendition which is richer than normally leaner versions. Goes well with food.

Not as great as other vintages. Missing the special energy of this wine. Still good.
