Touch of funk upon opening, but that gave way to red cherries, cranberries, fruit sherbet, sous bois, and red clay. Light on the palate with muted flavors. Finishes clean but drops off slightly. Just okay.

ruby, in color. cherry, raspberry, on the nose. earth, spice, oak, cherry, dark fruit, on the palate. medium acid, medium tannins, on this smooth finish.

Opened with orange peanut giner chicken, showing light to medium ruby to clear at the rim, no major legs to speak of. Dark roasted oak, grained leather and overripe strawberry dominate the nose, with cola and black fruits. Slight fizz quality, powerful fruit attack that melds into the core of oak and darkness. Potent mid palate glides through the high octane finish. Plenty of personality here after an hour of air, still drinking fairly young. Better than the last bottle.

Blind Tasting of Gary's Vineyard Pinots (Bi-weekly group blind tasting at Tom's House): Blind Tasting of 9 Gary's Vineyard Pinots. Group's #8, my #3.
Good fruit, some oak and green flavors. Yummy.
