  Initially, strong sponti notes: dark, dusty, earthy. Then they become more complex while the carbondioxide evaporates. Then it is more fragrant. Seems quite closed for now and also a lot more introvert (and drier) than the 2011 at various stages. On the second day, it hadn't evolved much but shows glimpses of classic middle Mosel green fruit and slate. Needs time, probably three to five years.

  Flintstone, yellow and green fruit, herbs on the nose. Fresh and intense on the palate, very mineral. Good concentration and balance. Very bright and long, a little tight still. 91-92+

  Vinmarken til denne vinen er stor og relativt varm. På farge er vinen strågul.
  
  På nesen viser vinen en rikere stil med en leken, men lett fet stil. Ja, nå snakker vi. Sånn skal det lukte.
  
  På paletten forsøker vinen å holde inn magen, og framstår som både litt slank og fet samtidig. Sitrusfruktene er på den syrlige siden og det vanskelig å unngå rynker i panna. Noe røyk og herlige skifertoner bistår frukten til å gi et flott smaksbilde, dog kanskje vel syrlig. Uansett, en bra vin dette.
