Leads with peach or nectarine or even cherry on the nose and in the mouth, good minerality on the core, decent length on a combo of acidity and slight residual sugar. Is off-off-dry a thing? This is nice while also missing that intense minerality and bracing acidity I look for in a Saar riesling.

Pop'n pour Nose > Lime-flesh, grapefruit & lemon-oil, white-nectarine, lavender, apricot, lime-creme, red-cherry & limestone on-the-rocks. With air adds creamy nectarine-skin, violet, a hint of Chartreuse & some pungent musk. Palate > Big rich firm mouthful. Lemon-oil, lime-flesh, creamy white nectarine, crystallized citrus-pith, apricot/tart-apricot, Morello & Rainier cherry. Adds richness, some riper orchard fruit, powdered minerals & a subtle yet powerful creamy nectarine-skin/skin-contact background element w/air. Great, integrated, ripe acidity. Med++ intensity, depth & length. Drinks off-dry. More quietly impressive than exuberant, & may warrant upgrade w/air ... if it lasts long enough! Still getting better as bottle ran dry. (94+)

This seemed very reticent. The nose was very little expressive but in the mouth, on the second day, it showed this mouthfilling off-dry fruit and minerality with multiple aromatic dimensions. Excellent but less luminous than the Saarfeilser GG 2015 and the Fass 1 2018. Will probably improve with some years.

Very upfront sugar and acidity. Melon and lime, great balance. A lovely wine coming into its drinking window
