What a unique pleasure to have had this wine. Though it is just starting to tail off of what I am guessing would be its peak/plateau in its drinking window, this chard carries a distinct acidity with it that drinks more like a sauvignon blanc, though it is intermingled with some deeper and ever so slightly rich (a la Meursault) aromas and flavors. It is medium bodied, with an ample and fleshed out (but not flabby) midpalate that carries a bit of earthiness that I associate with most other Chilean wines I've had, red or white. The finish is smooth, and you can tell this wine has had a couple of years in bottle as it stretches out over 30 seconds. A fine effort for the price, and if you can find any over the next six months, I strongly encourage you to buy it and drink up! Outstanding QPR.

(Concha y Toro Chardonnay Marqués de Casa Concha) Medium golden yellow color; lanolin, a little oxidized, nutty nose; oxidized on mature tasting palate of tart lemon, tart lime, with green notes; short-medium finish
(CONCHA Y TORO CHARDONNAY MARQUES DE CONCHA) #2; COLOR-light golden; NOSE-little mango-papaya mix; TASTE-very focused, quite impressed, nice body; mango/papaya very obvious; little hint of buttered popcorn, tremendous acidity; body weight on the medium to full bodied; very silky; finishes like a Sauvignon Blanc, I like; nice w/ fish; very impressed overall; WS-91; GV-90
