  • As dark and heavy as a wine can be, almost chewable. Open early to fully enjoy. A good wine to sip on a cold Minnesota night while watching TV and eating pizza.

  • My only 2014 and I feel like I opened it at a great time. The nose features dark cocoa, dried flower petals, potent muddled cherries, sweet tobacco, date, and attention-holding cardamom. Full bodied, but the acid is super juicy and keeps things from being weighed down by the finely grained dense tannin. Master class in balanced structure. Flavors include sweet semi-dark chocolate, maraschino cherry, rich boysenberry, graphite and potting soil minerality, and cardamom. It finishes on a modestly spicy black pepper note. This holds the fine line between hedomism and complex depth thanks to impeccable balance.

  • Our favorite red of all time! Deep dark, lovely notes of grapes and dark berries and chocolate velvety smooth and long lasting finish, heavenly with gnocchi, alfredo sauce, apple, blue cheese and walnuts, romaine boat salad with blue cheese dressing.

  • Wonderful nose that is full of deep, dark fruit, after a gorgeous purple black pour. We are having great trouble finding adequate words to describe how good this wine is. My wife said, "Damn good! - how many more do we have?" Silky smooth, full bodied without feeling heavy, delicious ripe fruit of all the best dark varieties, provides a sense of sweetness without being sweet , the dryness is not too astringent, and the structure is perfect.
Perfect pairing with spaghetti and a local humongous meatball which is wonderful, with a salad. Absolute, goose bump inducing perfection with Sees chocolates for dessert.
