Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. Burgundy evening presented by Alun Griffiths, Master of Wine. We started the evening with this wine as Alun was keen to set a benchmark by tasting a fairly straightforward white Burgundy. This is from the Macon region in a good vintage. Pale gold in colour with hints of pear and sweet fruits on the nose. On the palate it was soft and easy, fresh with balanced acidity. Simple, but very pleasant and a snip at £9.95 from The Wine Society.

This is a great white burgundy (Macon) for under a tenner. Refined but quote subtle. This my go to white for white fish dinners

Half bottle, served well chilled. Pleasant enough, but not memorable, perhaps lacking body for my style.
