  Decanted and followed over five hours.
  
  Did really need some time to open up. Have had many great vintages of this wine, but the 2010 is somehow not up there. Must try another bottle soon.

  Aromatically, the development is fine, and so is the texture with melted tannins. On the other hand, the acidity could be livelier and the alcohol certainly lower. That said, it's a nice winter warmer, but the balance is not likely to improve with further cellaring. Drink up!

On palate, similar flavor profile with medium+ body, medium+ acidity and long finish. Really enjoyable. One of my favorite, if not my favorite, Chianti Riservas. 92+/-
