Chateau Climens' 2nd label wine, made out of 100% Semillon with my favorite fungus, botrytis. I believe the last two recent vintages for this label were only 2019 and 2016.
Visually, a slightly muted golden color.
The scents - tropical fruits, fresh flowers - indulgent on the nose. This scent should be a candle.
The palate - now here those same fruits jump out at you. Mango, pineapples. Savory honey. A fresh batch of fruit jam. Faint orange, and as much peach/apricot as the 2015 Suduiraut I last had. Viscous. Decently long finish, but not as eternal as a Sauternes.
Impressed, if this is a second label!

Demi-bouteille. Ample et gras mais doté d`un bel équilibre. Sur les pêches et les ananas avec un peu de caramel salé comme disait l'autre!!! Bel équilibre acidité-sucre-botrytis. Hyper long et décadent en finale. Sublime!

Tasted at LaLou as the dessert. There was grapefruit and orange marmalade on the palate along with the honey and apricot, lively acidity, long finish. Barsac seems to be lighter in body than Sauternes, but delicious in most of the same ways. This is the second wine of Chateau Climens, I'd like to taste the two wines together some time.

Straw color. Honey, creme fraiche, and subtle caramel on the rich nose. Super smooth, viscous palate, with vibrant acidity and lively sweetness.
This is one of the more unique white dessert wines I’ve had. It’s essentially a Sauternes, but not labeled as such because it is in neighboring Barsac.

2nd wine of Ch. Climens. Lovely floral aromas with apricot, peach, honey and some grape fruit in the finish. Sweet and delicous in the mouth. Still some sharp grape fruity though, and the wine would probably benefit of some years in the cellar to achieve the classic Sauternes elegance.
