  I think still young. Crazy. Acid. Sour. Cut through a nice lamb shoulder roast. Dark fruit. Tobacco. Weight is in the heavier side. Yum

  Still youthful, with a bit of edge. Brilliant color, floral and fruit notes on the bouquet, with a hint of cedar perhaps. Picked up mostly fruit notes - both red and black. Long finish.

  Decanted for 2 hours, returned to bottle for service 3 hours later. Served cool. Restrained nose in the glass for 30 minutes. Even with air time, drank tight and very astringent. With time and warming the fruit and flavor intensity increased dramatically. This is a different Pinot than many, opposite of big extraction, acidic, dry, mostly red fruit, nice tannin's with a very long finish. Rated by winery as lighter in style, I would disagree. It's still a big Pinot. Nothing off, $68 winery direct. It's got plenty of time yet.

  Well-knit, almost-seamless wine, lacking only the touch of sophistication and pedigree of some of the other single-vineyard wines from this producer. Good balance, restrained red berry and a touch of clove, with a very steady and pleasing finish.
