Luminous neon yellow color. Somewhat sweet-toned and fruity nose with aromas of lemony citrus fruits, light honeyed tones and a hint of skunky SO2. The wine feels steely and dry-ish to off-dry on the palate with tangy flavors of lemony citrus fruits and key lime, some apple peel bitterness, a little bit of honey and a hint of bright minerality. The racy acidity keeps the wine pretty well-structured and lends intensity to the flavors. The finish is long and mouth-cleansing with flavors of key lime and apple peel bitterness.
A nice and refreshing but also somewhat one-dimensional and even a bit austere Riesling. The wine shows good sense of structure and nice harmony between the acidity and sense of sweetness, but I could've used a bit more depth and complexity here. With this little of anything the wine really isn't that interesting, and the slightly skunky hint in the nose really didn't help. An average-to-good new wold Riesling, priced according to its quality at 9,99€.
